In 2014, BIGBANG celebrated the 5th anniversary of their Japanese debut with the BIGBANG JAPAN DOME TOUR 2014-2015 "X," the first time a foreign artist has ever toured Japan's five major domes for two consecutive years!
The dome tour was directed by Jamie King, one of the most influential figures in the music industry today and known as the "master of concert tours." He has also produced numerous tours for artists such as Madonna and Rihanna, as well as the Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL WORLD TOUR, a collaboration between Cirque du Soleil and Michael Jackson that captivated the world from 2011 to 2013.
LeRoy Bennett handled the stage lighting design, and LA-based production company VENENO handled the tour video production.
Additionally, Gil Smith II's backing band joined BIGBANG onstage for the second time, following their first world tour, the BIGBANG ALIVE GALAXY TOUR 2012-2013, and the BIGBANG JAPAN DOME TOUR 2013-2014, the first ever six-dome tour for a foreign artist in Japan.
