Aired in Korea in 2009, the KBS espionage action thriller IRIS headlined by Lee Byung Hun was one of Asia's biggest and most anticipated television hits of the year. The meaty, all-star blockbuster about secret agents caught in a dangerous game of love, betrayal, and national security provided so many possible stories and twists, it's turned into a franchise with a spin-off, an upcoming sequel, and a film. Developed in parallel with the original TV drama, IRIS: The Movie (a.k.a. IRIS - The Last) is a feature-length edit of the 20-episode series, with additional scenes shot specifically for the film. Some unanswered questions from the TV drama are revealed in the movie.
